There’s a new version of Wordpress out, 2.0
I have 1.5.6, which was the previous version. I just looked at the process, and I really don’t feel like upgrading. I’m going to wait until bluehost updates their Schnazzy Fantastico with Wordpress 2.0, so I can have them do it for me

I’m currently at my aunts house right now, Sorta my goodbye sleepover or something. My dad leaves back to Pullman on sunday.
Tomorrow I’m going up to Bellingham (about an hour away) for a New Years Eve party, And spending the night there. I was going to see if I could get a ride up there so I posted on the Tianwudao Board (I’m in a group by the name of Tian Wu Dao, Martial Arts is what we do, and we like to party :P), asking a guy if he’d be willing to give me a ride.
Then I found out that as soon as I got to Seattle, I checked the site and found out he was going up there tonight.
So I was kinda sad since I wouldn’t get a ride to B-ham and to the party.
Lucky for me, my dad offered to drive me up there. Now I’m just hoping I can get a ride back to Bellevue. If not, I’m way fucked.

I don’t think I said anything earlier, but I’m the Lead Video/Audio editor for a film by the name of Worst Job.
It’s actually pretty awesome, I’m going to have a couple guys working under me and we’re going to be shooting primarily in Bellingham, the next shoot is going to be on the 13, and I’m going to spend a couple days up in bellingham shooting for 3 days straight.

I’m hoping I get a lot of experience on the field and that I do well on the job so I can establish some connections in the industry.
This is going to be a low-budget film that’s going to rock. It has a pretty good script, I personally think it’s pretty funny.
I’ll keep you guys posted on what happens with it and if anything amazing happens during production.

Wow…

So I need to be able to watch these videos for Animation 115, and that meant that I would need to buy a vcr and a tv for my room.
Along with a tv stand.
We were at Fryz and spotted one of those USB TV tuners, so me and my dad decided to get that instead.
My aunt gave us a DVD/VCR combo player because she didn’t want it (won it in a raffle I believe).
So I just not set everything up, and this is how it works:

Video: Laptop-Tv Tuner-tv tuner adapter for coaxial video-DVD/VCR combo player
Audio: Laptop-Stereo on other side of room.

So when watching a video, and I need to turn the volume down, I grab the stereo remote, point it behind me and adjust the volume.
If I have to pause or something on the video, I grab the DVD/VCR remote and use that.

I tested with a DVD and it was way too complex, so I’m going to stick with playing dvd’s in the laptop.

Good thing is I can use it to watch TV. And I found out today that my downstairs neighbor has cable, so all I need is a cable to plug into the wall and I get free cable

We also bought a bunch of other crap today, last night I realized I would need a usb cable for my printer since it didn’t come with one, and that I would need a USB hub for all the crap I need to plug into my laptop, and a Power Strip for all the crap I’ll be plugging into my laptop that would need power.

We went and bought all my books for animation, and the materials I would need for Animation. It’s basically a drawing class, but I go to class in my room, which is really stupid, because I hate taking a “hands-on” class, without a teacher there. All the classes are pre-recorded (way back in 2001) and on tape, so I rented all the tapes, so if I ever get bored enough, I’ll just watch a quarters-worth of classes and not have to watch another one again.
I have some other random shit that we bought today, but none of that matters.

I’m in Bellevue bitches!

So far things appear to be going well,
I got to meet my housemate, Grandma Sharon.
turns out that I actually only have one roommate, the other room (across the hall from me) is vacant.

I met Grandma sharon about an hour or so ago, she appears to be pretty cool, we get along pretty well so far, and Tao was right, she loves to talk, A LOT. She’s a pretty cheerful person and she showed me everything and gave me a calendar :D, she’s got this crazy one eyed half-in half-out thing going on, but I’m not going to let that bother me, she’s a really good person.

She told me that she has two daughters, one has 4 kids, the other has 5. Tao, my landlord, told me that they occasionally come over and that they are really nice kids.

And contrary to previous belief, there is only one person who lives downstairs, a guy.
I found a wireless network nearby to leech off of, hopefully I’ll be getting paid internet installed, but it’s doubtful.
I’ve pretty much unpacked everything, I totally forgot to get power-strips, I have 3 outlets, so I should be fine (I hope).
I’m one usb-cable short, since the printer didn’t come with one, and my dad is going to bring my back up from seattle tomorrow, so I’ll have everything tomorrow I hope.

And as far as I can tell, if I’m really careful about budget, I should be able to make it for at least 6 months if all I buy is food, which I’m hoping that’s all I have to do.

Well, it’s 8:13am now, and I’m going to be leaving soon.
Just have to make sure my dads awake…..

So while packing, I dug out my Palm Pilot.
the battery was dead so I plugged it in and alet it charge.
I started it up and set everything back up. I got myself mmplayer and stuck some songs on my SD card. the songs played fine. So I got a little experimental and decided to try and play a video.
The Zire 31 wasn’t made with video playback in mind, but mmplayer was. I grabbed a tiny web clip I had and synced it to my zire, and voila! Video Playback!
I don’t think I’m going to need an iPod after all. I have two cards, a 1 gig, and a 512. I can put games on the palm pilot, and pretty much do whatever with it. it even has a built-in speaker, that’s got pretty good sound quality. Battery life is a small issue, but I don’t really care about that much.
Go me!

I don’t like my life very much.

I think i’m just not going to bother with pullman girls anymore.

I’m gone in 5 days, make up your mind!
