Haircut!

Random Crap January 29th, 2006

Well, I finally got a haircut.

Since I was at my aunts, and she lives right next to Northgate Mall. I walked across the street to the Mall and hunted down a hair salon, since they are the only people who can actually do a decent job.
I got it cut all the way down, my head feels incredibly tiny now :/
And I ripped myself off and paid 27 bucks for it. At least the stylist washed my hair!
I’ll take a picture later, although there’s not much to see, literally.

Just imagine me bald with a line of fuzz on my head.

Woah!

Random Crap January 27th, 2006

I’m in Seattle.

I’m here for the weekend to go to some wedding.
Actually I didn’t even know I was coming until yesterday. But I don’t really have much else to do, so why not?

Anyways, I was walking around with my Aunts friend (I’m going to stay at my aunts, but she’s working so her friend came to grab me, we’re going to go to a potluck and party out until she gets off work). We went inside a little convenient store so she could buy some milk and as we’re checking out, guess who walks in?

Bryan Joe.

Well, many of you probably have no idea who he is. We both graduated from the same high school.
Anyways, he was really surprised and excited to see me, he walked in and saw me and went “AHMED?!” I turned and it took me a second to recognize him then I was like “Holy Crap! Hi!” We chatted for a bit, he’s way cool and I was surprised to see him too.
He’s going to University of Washington and he was just walking around.

It was pretty cool to see someone from pullman. Makes me almost miss the place :p

Tests suck

Random Crap January 24th, 2006

Woo, took my first Test of the quarter in Math.

Also the first time I’ve ever actually freaked out during a test.

I was pretty much cruising through the test then I got to the last two questions. The question was something like

If you have the cost function and the profit function, Where will they break even?

I couldn’t remember at all how to do it and I sat there for a few minutes trying to think. Then I remembered that Mrs. Estep (High School Algebra 2 teacher) said that if you’re not sure how to do it, think simple and do it the long way, it might take awhile, but it’s better then nothing.

So I stuck the two equations into my graphing calculator and made a table. I got the answer and wrote it down.
I looked at the clock and started on the last question.

Didn’t get it down.
I probably got like a C in that class or something. I REALLY hope I did okay on that test.

You’re probably thinking “Ahmed! Relax! It was just a test!”

Yeah, well, I have the whole “Keep your grades up or I’ll stop paying rent thing” My dad said last week.

The really messed up part was he called me and said that the day after I called him and said I got a 21.5/20 on the math quiz….

meh

Websites aren’t for me, blogs are.

Random Crap January 22nd, 2006

Occasionally people have asked me why I have a blog, and they say I should make a website.

Of what?
If I were to make a website, I wouldn’t have anything to put in it, plus I have web design, it’s tedious and frustrating. I was suckered into being the admin for my dads site, napata.org (which is also the parent domain for my blog).
Plus 99% of people who make their own website, make it about themselves. So I decided to take that extra step and make it worthwile.

I made a blog.
Yes, I did technically make a website about myself, but you don’t have to deal with the “Main Page” Of nothingness. Actually, if you really want to see one, there’s my old one from when I was all “OMFG! P0k3|/|0||11111” http://pikafreak.fortunecity.com/

Text chains

Random Crap January 20th, 2006

So Chain letters advanced to Chain emails.

Apparently there are Chain Texts now.
I got one of those retarded ones that say “a little boy died, send this to ten people and you won’t find him in your bed.”

I’m going to lay this out for everyone.

If I get a text message from you and it’s a chain text, you’ll receive a reply text telling you to fuck off and your number will be deleted and blocked.

thank you.

woo! I think the problem with the time stamp finally got fixed!
I corrected the time zone, apparently it took a few days for it to actually go through.

She’s gone

Random Crap January 18th, 2006

Sharon, my former housemate, has been evicted.
It was just last night that Tao was talking to me about and telling me he was going to do his best to have her out of the house as soon as possible. Nobody thought it would be today.
Tim was surprised she was out and said that this might cause problems, since Tao is supposed to have given her 3 days to do it. Perhaps she was given 3 days, but decided to leave today.

I came home while she was still here. I was walking up the street from the bus stop and saw a van in the driveway. When I walked up the driveway I saw that it was full of empty boxes. the door was open and there were open boxes in there too.
I walked down the hall to my room, and Sharon’s door was open, she was dumping drawers into a bag and her son-in-law was with her. She didn’t look the least bit happy so I continued to my room and locked the door behind me. I listened a little and she was ranting about leaving and that’s when it clicked. Tao had gone and given her an eviction notice.
I sat in my room a little longer, and went out to grab some juice.
She was ranting about how I would have to clean after myself and other things. I gave her short calm replies, and she just got angrier. Her Son-in-law (was in the kitchen emptying her cupboard while I poured myself some juice) turned to me and said “If you don’t stop talking back to her like that, You’re in for an ass woopin’, no go on back to your room and stay there.”
I looked her straight in the eye and told him that I pay the rent here, so I can stand wherever I want to. He looked at me a little longer then turned away.
I lingered a little longer then went back to my room. I then decided it would be best to sit outside and make sure she didn’t do anything. Plus if she tried anything it would give us more reason to have her leave.
I grabbed my book (Angels&Demons) and headed out into the living room. I plopped down on a couch and opened it up. They got angrier about it and bitched about it. Sharon would walk by yelling insults and saying things about how I’ll have to clean up after myself and saying that now I’ll have to deal with the real world.
i got a little angry about that, but I managed to calm myself down. Even though I had my book out I was listening to what was going on.
Nothing came of it and I stayed there until they had left.

It’s strange, it seems like the house is so much more relaxed with her gone. Tim came upstairs for the first time, David came out, and we chatted about it and hung out a bit.
We broke into Sharon’s old room because we were all curious about what was in there. Tim tried to pick the lock but I got it open with the card trick. It was completely empty, just the tv stand and tv were left.
I feel a lot easier now, I’m able to listen to my music at whatever level I want, And I can do anything however I wish.
I talked to David and next time he goes shopping i’m going to come with him and we’re going to buy some pots and pans and other things we’ll need for the house.

It’s almost like what I thought it would be like living with other people.

Worst Job update

Random Crap January 17th, 2006

Last weekend Was the first days of filming for the film. And we are already Behind Schedule.
Evan picked me up Saturday morning and we drove up to Marysville. From there we carpooled in Michelles Jeep and we headed up to Bellingham, or near there.
We shot scene 2 where Dave (evan) gets from his job as a price checker at a dollar store, took us about an hour or so do that scene.
We went and began shooting scene 13.
That took way too long. There are 5 parts to that scene, 13a-13e. We spent the rest of the day until 11pm shooting just 13a. The worst part was that Michelle wasn’t wearing the robe. During that part she is wearing a robe, giving the illusion she isn’t wearing anything underneath. We had to reshoot everything because she didn’t wear it, nobody noticed it so we were just angry at ourselves.
We finally got it done the next day, we rushed through the rest of the scene since we only had until 3:30 to finish it. Of course we finished it at 4:30.

We’re 2 scenes behind, so we’re going to get that done on friday and saturday, I’ve also discovered that I’m going to have a lot of work to do when the shooting is done since i’m the editor.
Now I see why she was happy I would do it :(

Oh, I also have a quiz in 30 minutes that I barely studied for.
