Where my books at?!
Bellevue, College, Pullman September 10th, 2006
College is coming and it’s time to get myself some books.
So a couple weeks ago I hopped onto the BCC bookstore site and figured out which books I needed, then went over to Amazon and bought them all used
Well, it’s been two weeks and I haven’t received a single one! I was talking to my mom earlier tonight and I mentioned this, and then she said that a couple packages showed up for me last week.
So, I was a little baffled by this, then realized that I still had my default shipping address set to pullman (whenever i order i just select my new one, i’ve been too lazy to remove the pullman address) and that I forget to select my bellevue address!
Well, I asked my mom to ship them over to me and she’s going to. But, I’m curious as to why she didn’t that I had a couple packages waiting for me!?
and on a sidenote, we got declined on the house I mentioned earlier, so now me, alex, and eric are all scrambling to find another house that we all like :/

Another interview!
Bellevue, Geekin' out, Pullman July 27th, 2006
I had another interview today, this one went a lot better then the last one. It’s a part-time tech job, From what they told me it is a pretty awesome job. It’s a 3 month job this time, so if i get it that’ll mean i can fill my fridge with tasty treats :p
I haven’t a clue what the pay will be but from what Tom (HR guy) told me, it would be at a good rate for the commute i would be making (it’s about 14 miles away).
I also finally had the opportunity to show off my portfolio too! Which was pretty nifty, they were impressed by it, I told them everything i’ve done. Michael (Head Tech Director) asked me a couple questions (the vital components of a computer), and I responded with all the correct answers, they showed me where I’d be working (if i were hired) and it looks like a pretty awesome place to work at
In other news, my dad dropped by today, he was coming back from a conference and had to be in pullman today so he only stopped by to say hi and we chatted a bit. He informed me that my passport got sent back, and apparently i have to go to city hall to get it sorted out (What the heck does city hall have to do with my passport renewal?). I’m hoping it doesn’t mean Pullman city hall, because then i’ll have to drive all the way down there to get it all done
Post-interview

Well, I had the interview. It went fairly well in my opinion. The woman who interviewed me (her name is Nikki, awesome name!) was pretty cool too, wasn’t the usual interrogation process either, she graduated from wsu which is rock awesome (Someone from pullman!) and wasn’t impersonal at all.
Anyways, enough of that. The job turned out to be more of a data entry position (updating documents for a big company using word and excel), the pay was decent although the details of the job were really vague, as such it wasn’t really a position I would want to have unless I got more information.
Nikki asked me a few questions about my experience and what not, and she is going to look into other jobs they have available, help desk positions, which is something that I’m wanting to do for the time being.
I’m hoping for something that’s more part-time then full-time, I don’t want to put college on hold for a job that doesn’t pay me about 13 bucks (I have rent to pay and stuff) plus I want to be done with at least one degree in a year.
More stuff!

Now that I have a fully functional desktop computer, I’m left with a motherboard and video card that are no longer functional. After some speculation, I decided it was due to the sticky film on the motherboard and card.
I decided that since neither of these worked, I would try a suggestion a couple people had recommended.
Run it through the dishwasher.

Sorry about the huge delay in posting. But i didn’t feel like updating during spring break!
Yup, my spring break was last week. I went back to Pullman for the entire week to visit friends and stuff. I guess you could say it was the normal “Oh I’ve missed you so much, lets hang out!” facade. unfortunately all my friends are still in high school and I didn’t have the strong urge to visit them everyday during lunch and go to their classes.
So I only went up to the highschool once so see everyone. Then I hung out with my closer friends after that. I went tot he Circle K meeting and hung out with Aisha, Nicole, And Sarah. They’re still hella cool. I hung out with them all the next day and I also worked on Sarah’s laptop a teensy bit too.
Talking to all my highschool friends that all figured out what I had figured out a year ago, pullman sucks. There really isn’t all that much to do. It’s almost as bad as Colfax, except you can go to college parties on top of getting drunk and pregnant.
Everyone was happy to see me. I didn’t go say hi to Nick at all that week. I’m not really sure why but I didn’t feel that urge to hang out with anyone in particular that entire week, I was sorta tired of everyone from pullman and just wanted to forget everything I guess. Sounds a little anti-social, wouldn’t you say?
In other news! This quarter has started off fairly well. Except that the Class I was going to take for English 101 got canceled. So I’ve been dropped into some random class with a crappy teacher, at least according to RMP. I have English 101, Animation 120, and Tech 293. I went to the orientation yesterday for 293, it was hella cool. Seeing everyone again from last quarters 293 who took 294. The open labs are going to be friday saturday and sunday, 9am-3pm. I need to get ten hours in each week but I’m going to shoot for 18. And on top of that I’ll be going to WTA with Jamie, so we plan on getting the most hours out of everyone.
I’ve already purchased all my books on Amazon and I should get them all by this weekend. unfortunately for me we’ll be using the book in 120, but I should hopefully be able to survive! I gotta get my grade sorted out with the Animation 115 instructor so that I’m actually on the roll call for 120, otherwise I’m in trouble!
I didn’t know the English 101 class was late start so today I went to the room, got there about 10 minutes early and there were only 3 students. I figured that nobody had showed up yet so I grabbed a seat and waited. ten minutes rolled by and still nobody had showed up. We started to get a little curious as to what was going on but we patiently waited. another ten minutes rolled by and still nobody had showed up!
One of the students went to the student center to see what was up. I went out into the hall to see if we had all ended up in the wrong room by accident. I eventually ended up in an office down the hall and asked the woman at the desk. She told me it was late start, the class starts on the 18th! I went back and told everyone that we were 14 days early for class!
Well, I guess i’ll be seeing all of them in 2 weeks!
My schedule this quarter is as follows:
Animation 120: N209 7:50-10 Tuesday and Thursday
English 101: R208 12:30-2:40 Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
Tech 293: B140 9-3 Friday, Saturday, Sunday
